But with more people utilizing the Internet and mobile searches, information is just a few clicks away. Nowadays, 25% of Americans report to utilizing their mobile devices to access the Internet. This means that automobile sites that lack a mobile-friendly version could be missing out on potential sales. With a few clicks on their smartphone, consumers can be led directly to your competitors.

The trend of shopping for cars online is growing in popularity. A survey by Accenture, a global consulting company, found that 33% of people looking to buy or lease a car within the next two years visited a mobile-friendly automotive site on their smartphone in 2012. This number has seen increases the last two years. In 2010, only 17% of consumers used mobile devices to research car-buying decisions. In 2011, 24% of car buyers searched for a mobile-friendly automobile site. Experts have no doubt that consumers will continue to increase this behavior.

To increase sales information about your company should be accessible anytime, anywhere. Consumers want updated information at their fingertips up until they sign the dotted line. Americans continue to turn to smartphones and tablets to research purchases and often get frustrated when they cannot locate the right information on a mobile-friendly website.  Creating a mobile-friendly automobile site allows your business to reach customers in a new way and keeps your business ahead of the competition.
